Aberdeen, also known as the Granite City, is the third largest city in Scotland. Situated on the coast, Aberdeen has something to offer everyone. Noone can doubt the variety, be it shopping on the bustling Union Street; going to the cinema or the theatre; a relaxing walk along the beach or dining out with friends and family at the many cafes and restaurants.
The Muslim community is a very diverse one, hailing from all backrounds and cultures. The community comes together regularly at events hosted by the Aberdeen mosque. The best time to visit the mosque is during Ramadan when everyone meets you with a welcoming smile and free iftars are also available.
If you are thinking of applying to university here, then I would highly recommend it. Aberdeen is a beautiful and vibrant city which caters for all tastes. If you are just about to move here, then I suggest packing some wooly jumpers and a raincoat. Prepare yourself, as the best days of your life await you!
